stage 7: CDC gets list of forbidden words: fetus, transgender, diversity
The article titled "CDC gets list of forbidden words: fetus, transgender, diversity..." discusses some of the most recent decisions made by the Trump Administration. Agencies like the Center for Disease Control (CDC) and the Department of Heath and Human Services have received a list of words to not include in any files regarding the year 2018- particularly budget related paperwork. There were seven words that the Trump Administration would like to exclude or ban and they include: fetus; vulnerable; transgender; Science-based; evidence-based; diversity; entitlement. These words and related topics-including those regarding LGBT health and information has been removed from many government websites, making some fear for the future and representation of the LGBT community within the Trump Administration. Public opinion seems to scoff and eye roll at this news and ask if the ban of these words is really necessary. In Addition to LGBT related rights and issues, Abortion Rights came into question and how this administration would address them, based on the inclusion of the words "fetus, vulnerable and evidence-based and science-based". The ban on the words "science-based" and "evidence-based" alone arise problems and contradicts the very method of inquiry that all good science is based off of. How can science related words be banned when referring to Human health?
stage 8: Donald Trump, delete your twitter
I also 100% agree with you! The President of The United States should not have a twitter account. He is the face of America. How can we have our President go on social media and write multiple negative comments to people that don't agree with him or say negative things about him, it is very unprofessional and also It shows the lack of respect he has for people. I also believe the way other countries look at the United States has changed since Trump has been in office and part of that is because of what he is saying on twitter. Overall I really enjoyed this article you had very strong points in your argument seeing the tweets in the article made me agree with you that much more!
Stage 5:US Government Agency Ends ‘Net Neutrality’ Rule
The article titled, "US Government Agency Ends 'Net Neutrality' Rule" written by Hai Do ad Mario Ritter explains and defines Net Neutrality and what this decision means and how it effects the lives of the average American. Established in the "Obama Era" Net Neutrality is the idea that all "internet service providers should treat all traffic over the internet equally". Meaning that internet service users were not shown any bias or favoritism on sites and could access all sites equally and freely. In a 3-2 vote in the FCC, these rules were ended, meaning that service providers can now charge for us to see the content we would want to see, or make competing sites harder or slower to reach. Some even fear that this decision could ultimately lead to few agencies and companies overpowering the competition and controlling what we can access and see on the web.
Stage 6: Respond to Marijuana and job creation
I really enjoyed reading your article, even though I myself believe it should not be legal I do see where there could be benefits from it. The amount of revenue in the states that have legalized is like you said tremendous not only in money but employment opportunities as well. I wonder if congress were to legalize marijuana in all 50 states how much would America would profit from it?? Maybe we will see changes in the coming years.

Stage 4: Roy Moore sexually assaulted 14 y.o. girl, woman alleges
The
blog I read over was about Roy Moore and his alleged
sexual assault accusations. Many have different beliefs
when it comes to this situation but after reading the blog I believe
the writer wrote this specific article to shows Roy Moore in a
very negative light. Even though the story does not give a specific answer on
if he's guilty or innocent the writer does a good job at painting a
very good picture in our head about what he has done to these girls in the
past. I think overall this is a good read that keeps you informed in what
is going on with Roy Moore. The story is definitely intended for a
democratic audience. The blog views Roy Moore in a very negative way many
would say these statements are not true and you cannot trust the source
but after reviewing where the sources were from, I can say for this
particular story the sources are a reliable.
Stage 3: Sexual misconduct is quickly becoming politicized.
After reading the article Liz Peek wrote on "Sexual misconduct is quickly becoming politicized. And that's bad news for all of us" I can say it was a good article even though there were some things I did not agree with what she was saying even eventhough I could see where her points were coming from. The article Liz wrote is intended to let the readers know why accusing politicians of sexual misconduct could become politicized. She has some evidence to back up her ideas I don't find it too reliable considering there was only one person she spoke about in the entire article that she could connect to and for that in my opinion she needs more people to reference too if she is trying to convince us the people of "Sexual misconduct is quickly becoming politicized." Her logic to me I really don't understand just because she sees Senator Kristen Gillibrand taking action for the women who have been sexually assaulted/ abused or harassed doesn't not mean she is doing it for the reasons Liz Peek is stating in her article. to make this article better I think she needs to give me more examples of different people that are trying to politicize sexual misconduct.
stage 2: The importance of Doug Jones victory
Doug Jones’s defeat of Roy S. Moore in Tuesday’s Senate election was one of the most unlikely upsets in recent campaign history. But the Democrats’ victory in Alabama carries some immediate questions. In the article you will read about how Alabama came to choose a democrat over a republican, what it means to have a democrat sitting in the senate for one of the most republic and it will also inform you of some things that the democratic party will be up against in the coming months.
